Guinea seems a weird place.
Despite the fact that for most of the people here, for the first time, they will elected someone for real, I can sense that the idea of democracy and freedom do not mean much in the country and simply perhaps by lack of use or exercise.
The political debate seems empty, political leaders talk about themselves like if they had nothing to talk about and most of the rallies turn into a Moto rodeo show to distract the public... Most of the population seems happy by the idea of the elections and it's pleasant to see them exulting. After all they are not so different than foot supporters....
But for the first time, after so many countries, I experienced real difficulty to take pictures in the capital. When I try, people in the streets but also policeman or army guy come and keep saying «you cannot", «you should not" even if I will capture the garbage! and everybody repeat the same. I try to get the “why”, but no one dare or can explain, "You cannot"..... Like a mantra....
I am not so good with Sioux trick after all as I get kick out from the helico but on the track of Lola (my little dog that I usually kick out from the kitchen to find her on my sofa) I success to be part of the next trip and go by road outside Conakry tomorrow hoping than in the countryside people will be more open to the camera...
